After 13yrs of no alcohol ,still accused of being drunk when I talk

I have a neurological disorder called Cerebellar Ataxia , it effects my co ordination , balance, & speech. In the 19th century it was called “Drunken Sailor Syndrome”   because it makes you stumble & slur your speech. I retired from drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes & marijuana in 2001, but even today I’m approached and accused of being drunk. It discourages me but I have to accept its going to happen again in the future.
