It's easy for the able-bodied to get dressed in the morning, but for someone with physical conditions that limit their mobility, even a simple task such as buttoning a shirt can be challenging — if not impossible.
After Maura Horton's husband, former North Carolina State assistant football coach Don Horton, came home from a game upset because he struggled to dress himself in the locker room due to having Parkinson's, she decided to do something to help him.
"He was a career college football coach and came home after a game and said that a player (Russell Wilson) had to help him button his shirt to catch a team plane. His hands just weren't able to complete small fine motor skills. After I heard the pain and defeat in his voice and seeing there was nothing available to help him, I decided to create a solution," Horton told us.

So in January 2013, Horton launched MagnaReady, a line of dress shirts that substitute magnets for buttons.
"I had noticed a trend in many closures from iPad covers to handbags. The closure mechanisms were magnetic and small. It was my challenge to make them washable, as every application I had seen would be corrosive in water. The next step was testing size and strengths," Horton told us of how she came up with the idea to use magnets in her designs.

"Once I had the initial concept perfected, I wanted to make the infused magnetic system seamless. Paramount for me was the need for the outside eye to not be able to discern that there was any difference between our shirt and any other dress shirt on the market," she added of the process of developing her prototype.
Since launching about two years ago, Horton has also implemented her technology is children's products and hospital gowns and plans to further expand her product offering in the future.
In addition to donating a portion of sales to the Michael J. Fox Foundation,MagnaReady also donates many products to serviceman.

According to backstreets.com, eight Sessions Band members – Charlie Giordano, Jeremy Chatzky, Larry Eagle, Sam Bardfeld, Soozie Tyrell, Lisa Lowell, Ed Manion and Curt Ramm – were officially scheduled to perform. So was Nils Lofgren, who was not part of the Seeger Sessions Band. And according to various internet reports, Springsteen showed up and performed with them on “Pay Me My Money Down,” “O Mary Don’t You Weep,” “Jesse James” and “My Oklahoma Home,” which were all included on Springsteen’s 2006 album, We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions, and featured heavily on his subsequent tour.
